Meet Our Team

Southdale Pet Hospital is more than just a group of employees, clients, and doctors – we consider ourselves a family. This incredible dynamic allows us to work together to provide you and your pet with the best possible care available. When you walk into Southdale Pet Hospital, you’re not just bringing a pet to the doctor, we’re getting a visit from our extended family members.

Dr. Deborah Adams

Dr. Deborah Adams graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and has worked at Southdale Pet Hospital ever since! She has 4 active children; Trip, Henry, Evelyn and Josie, and a border terrier named Vinnie. “A couple of cats” rounds out the critters at home! In her sliver of free time she enjoys running, biking, cross-country skiing, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Pete Magnuson

Dr. Peter G. Magnuson (Dr. Pete) grew up in western Minnesota and attended Saint John’s University for his undergraduate degree and the University of Minnesota for Veterinary School.

Dr. Pete’s career began in Western Wisconsin, where he practiced and owned 3 clinics for over 10 years prior to relocating here to work with his classmate, and good friend, Dr. Deb Adams.

Dr. Pete is lucky to be surrounded by family and friends, and a doodle named Linka. In his spare time, Dr. Pete enjoys being outside running, biking, working in the yard, fishing, waterskiing, and working on his Old House, and delivering Meals on Wheels every Thursday.

Clinic Cat

Suki is our brown tabby Siberian cat. She was adopted by Southdale Pet Hospital after her previous family was unable to keep her due to behavioral issues. Suki is quite the scaredy-cat but has adjusted just fine at Southdale Pet Hospital. She can usually be found laying in the office where she shares the chair with Sondra, and offers back massages in exchange for belly rubs!
